Bayelsa election: Court did not disqualify APC from governorship poll – INEC

0
The All Progressives Congress (APC) was not disqualified from partaking in the Bayelsa governorship election, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared.
INEC gave the clarification on Friday, November 15, less than 24 hours to the election. Festus Okoye, a national commission with INEC, who spoke during a political programme on Channels Television, insisted that the APC will take part in the exercise. Okoye, who is also chairman of the information and voter education committee of the commission, argued that the judgement delivered by a Federal High Court in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa, did not stop the party from going ahead with the election. As a result, he declared that the election would go on as planned. – 180nobs.com.
