Armed robbery suspects ‘arrested’ by Lagos residents after their gun hooked during a car-snatching operation

Two furnished theft presumes recognized as 40-year-old Abbey Kolawole and 30-year-old Ikenna Eze were captured by inhabitants of Shagari Estate occupants in Iyana Ipaja zone of Lagos State on Friday November 22, after a bombed vehicle grabbing activity.

The individuals from Aiye and Eiye Confraternities hailed two inhabitants of the objective vehicle with their pack head Femi now on the loose. Admitting to the wrongdoing, Eze advised newsmen that Femi welcomed them to murder one of the tenants of the vehicle who undermined him.

“The man went to Femi’s home in Agege Abbattoir with numerous religion individuals and took steps to slaughter Femi. Along these lines, Femi welcomed us to his home so he would manage the man first.

“The arrangement was to shoot the man in the leg however subsequent to discharging the primary fired into the air, the weapon snared and before he could reload it, inhabitants turned out and were moving towards us.

“Femi was the person who knew the street. He got away while we, outsiders in that network were captured,” he said.

The suspects have been given over to Gowon Police Station in Ipaja for indictment.
